The Hartland Swim & Dive Team is a recreational team made up of children who live in the Hartland neighborhood in Lexington, Kentucky and are members in good standing with the Hartland Homeowners Association. The Hartland Swim & Dive Team is a member of the Central Kentucky Swim & Dive Conference (CKSDC), made up of 10 swim and dive teams in the central Kentucky area.
SWIM TEAM |
Swim TeamParticipation in the swim team should not be confused with beginning swim lessons. Swim team coaches and other pool staff are available to provide beginning swim lessons for younger children. While children as young as 4 years of age may be a member of the team, a child must be “water ready” and willing to swim. The head swim coach will decide if a young child has the necessary skills to participate in team practices, meets and activities. The Hartland swim coaches are known for their competitive swimming abilities and coaching for swimmers on technique, conditioning and overall performance. |
DIVE TEAM |
Dive TeamParticipation in the dive team may include children and teenagers who are interested in developing their diving talents. While children as young as 4 years of age may be a member of the dive team, a child must be “water ready”, willing to swim and jump off the diving board into deep water. The head diving coach will decide if a young child has the necessary skills to participate in team practices, meets and activities. In general, a diver must be able to qualify as a member of the dive team and have sufficient body control required to complete the four elementary required dives. |
Practice Times
Swimmers and divers are expected to attend and fully participate in practices in order to participate in meets. Exceptions are illness or prearranged absences (camp, vacation, etc).
MONDAY, TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY: The 2023 season officially starts with practice for all age groups on Monday, May 29! Practice schedule will be as follows:

7 & 8: 8-8:30 a.m.
9 & 10: 8:30-9:10 a.m.
11 & 12: 9:10-10:00 a.m.
13 & OVER: 10:00-11:00 a.m.
6 & Under: 11:00-11:30 a.m.
DIVE PRACTICE
9 & 10: 8-8:30 a.m.
8 & Under: 8:30-9:10 a.m.
13 & Over: 9:10-10:00 a.m.
11 & 12: 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Please Note: Your child must be able to swim without a flotation device a half length of the pool to be on the team.
Meet & Event Information
The first team practice usually begins around Memorial Day and the first swim meet of the season is typically the first week in June. All meets take place on Wednesdays (except the week of July 4th – see Meet Info tab). Dive warm-ups begin at 2pm and the dive meet starts at 3pm. Swim warm-ups begin at 4:30pm and the swim meet starts at 5:30pm.
There are six swim meets per season. The season culminates with the CKSDC championships. There is a one-day dive meet and a three-day swim meet.
Team social activities typically include pep and spirit rallies before each meet, a team social at the beginning of the season, a mid-season activity, and an end of the season awards and recognition banquet. Other events are planned as well.

**You can participate in as much or as little of the social side of swim team as you want. We just wanted to create some opportunities for the kids to be around their swim friends outside of the structure of practice.**

Reid Noonan
Head Dive Coach
Reid Noonan is from Lexington, KY and currently attends Vanderbilt University. Reid dove for ten years within CKSDC and is a 7-time conference champion. Outside of CKSDC, Reid dove for Kentucky Diving Club, Ripfest Cincinnati, and the Lexington Catholic Knights. Within his high school career, he finished top 8 in the state championships 3 times and was a 2020 NISCA All American. He is very excited to meet everyone and believes it’ll be a great season!

Hi! My name is Kaleb Brannock. I have been swimming in the CKSDC since I was five years old. I swam competitively year round for the same amount of time. I finished out my swimming career with the Lexington Dolphins and I have been a coach there since August 2020. I loved this sport as a swimmer and I’ve come to love it even more as a coach. CKSDC swimming gave me some of the best memories of my life and I can’t wait to make more as a head swim coach at Hartland!
